Silestone quartz and Dekton ultracompact. Slabs run through Artistic Stoneworks.
Silestone and Dekton care
Care
- Wipe with warm water, a soft cloth, and mild soap. Quartz (Cambria, Cosentino Silestone, MSI Q) is nonporous and does not need sealing or polish.
- Use a closed-weave trivet or hot pad. Do not set a hot pan, slow cooker, air fryer, or griddle on the slab. Thermal shock at the edge is a known failure, not a manufacturing defect.
- Cut on a board. Quartz is hard; knives are harder on the edge than on the slab.
- Keep oven cleaner, drain opener, paint stripper, and high-pH stuff off the surface. Rinse immediately if they land.
- Silestone: mild soap and water. Cosentino publishes a care guide per finish — polished is not the same as a textured sink-adjacent finish.
- Dekton: also a wipe-down surface. XGloss and high-polish families need the Cosentino cleaning note for that finish.
- Register the surface. An unregistered Silestone or Dekton bought in recent years drops to a short leftover term.
Official care from the manufacturer
Warranty
- Current Cosentino standard letter: 25 years on registered Silestone and 25 years on registered Dekton for residential manufacturing defects. Commercial Dekton is commonly 10 years. GRIP / GRIP+ Dekton finishes are often five years.
- Register within six months of purchase at Cosentino’s warranty portal. Miss the window on a post-2022 purchase and the leftover term collapses (Cosentino currently cites three years with an invoice).
- Covers manufacturing defect and, on the published letter, named stain and thermal-shock language when care is followed. Chips from a hit, bad fabrication, and outdoor use outside the named products are separate.

Our year on top of theirs
Artistic Design Studio warrants materials and labor for one year on work we sold and installed. The mill letter above is separate and often longer. We keep the order so a factory claim has a ticket. See the studio warranty.
