Care

• Dry-dust or vacuum with a hard-floor tool. Grit is what dulls a factory finish.
• Use a neutral-pH hardwood cleaner on a lightly damp microfiber pad. Never a soaking mop or a steam mop — both are named exclusions on Anderson Tuftex, Norwood Hill, and Nuvelle warranties.
• No oil soap, wax, polish, or two-in-one cleaners with shine additives.
• Blot spills immediately. Standing water cups and peels a hardwood floor.
• Keep indoor humidity in a normal occupied range. Wide seasonal swings open gaps or crown boards and are not a mill defect.
• Felt pads under furniture. Area rugs with a breathable pad; some rubber backs discolor the finish.

Warranty

• Prefinished engineered hardwood (D&M / Carriage and related): factory finish commonly warranted 50 years residential against wear-through, peel, or delamination of the finish under normal household use.
• Limited lifetime structural warranty on milling, grading, and ply bond when installed and kept to spec.
• Steam mops and wet mops are written exclusions.
• Original purchaser only.

Luxury vinyl and laminate care

Care

• Sweep or vacuum with a hard-floor tool. No beater bar.
• Damp-mop with a pH-neutral vinyl cleaner. COREtec names Encore; most mills accept a neutral pH hard-surface cleaner.
• Wipe spills right away. The wear layer is waterproof; standing water at the walls and flooding of the subfloor are not.
• No steam mop, no wax, no oil soap, no abrasive pads, no bleach stronger than a light dilution the mill allows.
• Skip rubber-backed mats. They can discolor vinyl.
• Use pads under furniture and chairs.

Warranty

• Hard-surface wear terms follow the collection — often 25-year to lifetime residential wear on AC4-class laminate and named vinyl.
• Scratches and gloss change are not wear-through.
